With just a few days to go to R22, we thought it might be good to remind you about some of the finer details of our wonderful Festival. Maps and further details can be found in our Festival Programme Here
Saturday 6 August – Rookery Meadow
Gates Open at 11.30 am
Car Parking
Parking is available at Reepham High School & College, School Road, Reepham, NR10 4JT or at Stimpsons Piece Reepham, NR10 4FP. Both are a short walk to Rookery Meadow.
Entry
The Festival gate is at the Reepham church end of Rookery Meadow. You will see signs as you approach from the Car Parking at the School and from the Market Place. No public entry is permitted from the stallholders’ and musicians’ car park off Robins Lane.
On entry you must present your ticket, either on paper or on your phone. The gate team will then put your Festival wristband on you. Re-entry during the day is allowed provided you are wearing a wristband that is intact and has not been tampered with. If your wristband becomes uncomfortable, please come to the gate wearing it to have it replaced by our team. Please keep your wristband on overnight to gain entry to our Sunday stages.
Festival Times
Gates open at 11.30 am. We anticipate finishing in the field around 8.00 pm. Our Reepham pubs – the Crown and the Kings Arms – each have further bands playing during Saturday evening.
Transport from Whitwell Campsite
We understand Whitwell Station will be running their minibus from the campsite to the High School Car Park regularly throughout the day.
What you can bring
We’re happy for you to bring picnic chairs and rugs. We have no restriction on food and soft drinks, although a wide range of food can be bought on the field if desired.
We do, however, have a strict alcohol policy. You can bring alcohol for your own consumption, up to specified limits – see http://localhost/wordpress/terms-and-conditions/ (click on the Drinks Policy tab). Over 18s only – we may ask for ID if we think you may be under 18. There will be a bar on the field and we understand that normal pub prices will be charged.
No glass is allowed on the field.
Drugs Policy
We operate a strict no drugs policy. Anybody seen with or using drugs may be escorted off the Festival site.
Toilets
There will be toilets in an area adjoining the field.
First Aid
First Aiders will be in attendance next to the Festival Control Tent, near Hansells Stage 1.
Merchandise
Festival T-Shirts and Guitar Plectrums will be available from the Festival stand.
Guitar Raffle
Members of the Festival team will be selling tickets to win a Vintage Reissued Series V6 Guitar with genuine Wilkinson pickups in a beautiful laguna blue, signed by Neville Staple and his band. Tickets are £1 per strip and the draw will take place just before the final set at around 6.30pm.
Cash
Some of our vendors may not take card payments so we suggest you bring some cash with you if you want to buy from them – and for our raffle tickets! Cash can be obtained from Reepham Post Office on Saturday and Sunday morning, or from the ATM outside Spar on Ollands Road, Reepham, although the latter does tend to run out if we have a busy day in town.
Sunday 7 August – Whitwell Station and The Crown Reepham
We have two Sunday stages: Whitwell Station (NR10 4GA) and The Crown (NR10 4EJ), with a full afternoon of music at each venue, from midday onwards. Your R22 ticket gives you access to both venues. Sunday only tickets are available on the door for £12 per adult.
What you can bring
Food and drinks are available at both Sunday venues, so you can’t take your own there.
